About this place
Tucked into a quiet residential pocket of Hosoda in Katsushika Ward, RAYCOM BASE CAFE occupies an unexpected spot: a loft space above an indoor baseball practice facility. Up on the 2nd floor, wooden tables are comfortably spaced out, giving diners a bird's-eye view of batters putting in their swings below while enjoying a leisurely meal or break.
The food menu is built around hearty, satisfying fare. Offerings range from popular burgers with juicy patties to savoury pancakes served with sausage or bacon and eggs, alongside sweet classic flapjacks. Guests can also opt for comforting hot meals such as a special karaage set accompanied by rice and miso soup, a baked seafood doria, or a vibrant vegetable peperoncino pasta—making it just as suitable for refuelling after a workout as it is for a casual lunch.
The drink and dessert selections are equally diverse. Freshly brewed coffee sits alongside made-to-order juices like banana juice and strawberry milk juice, as well as shaved ice topped with real fruit pieces like mango. For adult gatherings, beers such as Asahi Super Dry, Heineken, and Budweiser, along with various sours, make it easy to unwind over a cold glass.
The airy cafe is equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi, functioning well not only as a waiting lounge for visitors using the athletic facility but also as a quiet corner for remote work. Free on-site parking adds an extra layer of convenience, whether stopping by before or after practice or dropping in by car.
